Job Title: Head of Information Security
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Salary: £60,000 - £85,000 DOE + benefits
A fast-growing B2B technology company is looking for a Head of Information Security to lead their cyber security strategy and implementation. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who wants to shape and execute security policies, ensuring compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 while driving best practices across the business.
As the security lead, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to safeguard a platform that operates in high-risk industries, managing risk and protecting sensitive data while keeping security embedded in day-to-day operations.
Lead and execute the company’s cyber security strategy, aligning it with business goals.
Ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001, managing audits and external certifications.
Advise on and implement security policies, working closely with engineering and product teams.
Oversee risk assessments, incident response plans, and vulnerability management.
Drive security awareness and best practices across the organisation.
Work on cloud security within AWS environments and ensure strong security postures across infrastructure.
Proven experience in a senior information security role, ideally in a fast-moving technology business.
Strong expertise in Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and broader security frameworks such as NIST and PCI-DSS.
Hands-on experience implementing security policies within cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on implementation.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Salary: £60,000 - £85,000 DOE.
